Frequently Asked Questions

Where are your events held?

Our events will be held at various venues across the BC Interior, primarily in and around Kamloops, 100 Mile House, Williams Lake, Merritt, and Vernon. Specific venue details will be posted on our Events page as they’re confirmed.

Yes, competitors need to provide their own horse. We don’t currently have a loaner program, but if you’re interested in the sport and don’t yet have a horse, come to an event as a spectator or attend a clinic — our community is great at connecting riders with opportunities.

Absolutely! Spectators are always welcome at our events at no charge. It’s a great way to see the sport in action, meet the community, and decide if you’d like to get involved. Bring the family — the kids love watching the horses work through the obstacles.

ExCA has a judge certification process that includes training and evaluation. Visit the ExCA website for details on their judge certification program, or contact us and we can point you in the right direction.

Currently in our “start-up” phase we have elected not to have a board in addition to the Executive Director. In the future Board positions will be elected annually at our AGM (Annual General Meeting). If you’re interested in serving on the board, become a member and express your interest — elections will be open to all members in good standing. You can also volunteer in non-board roles to get involved right away.

We offer several sponsorship tiers starting at $250/year, plus in-kind sponsorship options. Visit our Sponsors page for full details on packages and benefits, or select “Sponsorship Inquiry” in the contact form above.
