Horsemanship Through Obstacles – 70 Mile Riding Club
August 7 @ 8:00 am - August 9 @ 5:00 pm
$375

The 70 Mile Riding Arena crew is very excited to announce:
Trevor Mertes, of Horses That Work, and of Extreme Cowboy Challenge fame, will be coming to the 70 Mile Arena for a 3 day clinic August 7-9, 2026!
Trevor brings his calm, quiet, and down to earth approach to horsemanship for all ages and all types of horses, especially young and green horses. His goal is always to do less to get more out of your horse, always keeping in mind that if you can move the feet you can get to the mind of the horse. “If you want a calm horse, stay calm. If you want a patient horse, be patient.”
You and your equine partner will work with a variety of obstacles using good horsemanship to get your horse through them. A few of the obstacles that Trevor brings include bridges, gates, objects to drag, teeter totters, suspension bridges, carousel with flags, barrels, rails, poles, jumps and water obstacles. This clinic is a great way to help you and your horse find a better connection together. Come and work on some of the obstacles you may find in the ever growing sport of “cowboy challenge”.
It will be a great weekend of playing with obstacles, making new friends and learning new things!
$350 + $25 70 Mile Community Club membership
